The parade grounds spends the majority of time, off limits to visitors because it is a breeding grounds for birds on the island. The birds had flown south and breeding season was gone, at the time of this event. The Stage II staff would like to thank the maintenance crew on Alcatraz for the fine job in preparing the parade grounds for this event.
